Cesar Chavez Middle School is one of two middle schools in Union City. It serves a diverse student body of 1,436More students. To aid in student success and help students prepare for high school, the school offers intervention and after-school support programs. The school also offers elective courses in food and textile design, drama, art, Spanish, introduction to multimedia, speech and debate, band and choir. James Logan High School

The only high school in Union City -- and one of the largest in the state -- James Logan High School has an annualMore enrollment of more than 4,100 students. To serve its large and diverse student body, Logan offers a wide array of courses, along with a variety of college preparation, advanced placement and honors classes. In early 2010, the school unveiled its Center for Performing Arts for its music and drama departments. It was the first high school to offer a Punjabi foreign language course in the Bay Area, in addition to its Mandarin, French and Spanish classes. James Logan High School also offers an Electronic Media Production class in which students produce a daily news show, Logan Live. The Journalism and News Production classes also publish an award-winning news blog. The school is also home to an award-winning Forensics Speech and Debate program comprised of more than 200 students. Logan has a health center and extensive sports facilities for its many sports programs. Its principal is Amy McNamara.
