Wow - no comments. Lemme break the ice.... FESS UP COLIN! The truth will set you free. I thinkRead More that's tattooed to him somewhere. Why is it that young healthy men are out carousing and having shameful sex with young women...? I don't get it, I used to get it, but now I don't get so much....

Why the F do you need a GD lame skate park? Isnt there anything more important that you could ofRead More built?. Just like the one in Hayward, losers hang around there selling drugs, drinking booze, littering.. Waste of taxpayers money.. If these kids need something to do then they can figure it out themselves, like we did when we were kids. We didn't need someone to amuse us and we did just fine... WHY DIDNT YOU MAKE A GRAFITTI PARK WHERE THESE BASTIDS COULD SCRIBBLE ALL THEIR GANG SIGNS THERE INSTEAD OF RUINING OUR WALLS ALL OVER TOWN.. NOW THERES AN IDEA EINSTEINS!!!

This skatepark is a positive addition to Fremont. Mary (commenter above) please do not categorizeRead More these skaters with the people in gangs, drug dealers or graffiti taggers in this city. My son & his friends were part of the planning process back in 2010. They are good honor roll students now attending universities & do not sell drugs, drink booze or litter & neither do any of their friends. They actively volunteer in this community & are certainly not losers. This park has put Fremont on the map in the skate world. People all over California are coming in to skate what is said to be one of the best skate parks in Northern California. And while they are in our town I'm pretty sure they are grabbing a bite to eat or picking up snacks & drinks at a nearby grocery store which means they are spending money here in Fremont. When we were kids we didn't have things like this, yes we had to get creative & find things to do. Times are different. There is more crime unfortunately than back then. I would much rather see our kids skating at this park than in the streets. I'm a taxpayer & parent of one of these skaters and I fully support this skate park. I don't think Mary above even knows any skateboarders. She is just grouping them all together as losers (which I am offended by- my son & his friends are not losers) with the few bad people who choose to litter, tag & do illegal activities in the area. Go out to the park & get to know these skaters you will see they are good people.....

James, I didn't really intend to put you down I do vehemently disagree with your opinion on votingRead More and that came through perhaps too strongly . I neither like nor dislike you since we don't know each other and you are right about these posts, in that they should not be a popularity contest. Right or wrong popular or not we all have the right to our opinion, so I guess we can agree to disagree on the efficacy of voting and move on till next time. Geoff

Nadja, you're more intelligent than that. With the current budget shortfalls, if anything, moreRead More programs will get trimmed. A few more projects will get consulting time to get to completion. Having an attitude about Newark leadership is sour grape soup. Thus, with that education, offer your suggestions. You do have good ideas, refine them. I'm interested!
