Alvarado Middle School

<p>Alvarado Middle School is one of two middle schools serving Union City. The school, located in western Union City, is part of New Haven Unified School District. The school's goal is to address students' social, emotional and academic needs while ensuring a successful transition from elementary to high school. Alvarado Middle School has an Academic Performance Index (API) of 826 and its Standardized Testing and Reporting (STAR) results show students performing at above the state average, with 67 percent proficient or advanced in language arts, 54 percent proficient or advanced in math and 75 percent proficient or advanced in science.
