The Random Kindness of Strangers

I just want to share a story of kindness from a stranger this holiday season.

Last Friday night, i dropped my wallet someone in the streets of Union City. I have no idea where. At first i thought I had just misplaced the wallet somewhere, perhaps at work, but as I continue to look for it and not find it, I got worried and I was gonna start canceling my credit cards and bank cards soon.

Then Saturday morning, my mom calls me and tells me she has my wallet. I thought, how is this possible? Then she goes on to tell me that a stranger had found my wallet on the street and had returned it to my parents house. My drivers license was in my wallet and it contained my old address, so they dropped it off at my parents house..

Isn't that kind? I was quite struck by their act of kindness. There was nothing missing from my wallet and it was in good condition. Not only did the find it, but they took the time out to drive to my folks house, and drop off the wallet for me.

So i did not meet these people, but they gave my mom their email address. Upon looking it up, i found out they run a mom and pop plumbing and water heater service in the east bay.  They are AAA Affordable Plumbing & Water Heaters and are listed in Yahoo and the Yellow Pages.

So I don't need any plumbing or water heater work right now but if I did, i would prob goto these people. I mean, if they went to great lengths to return my wallet to me, I have to assume there is honesty and integrity about their work, and that they would go the extra mile. 

So thanks, to the good people at AAA Affordable Plumbing & Water Heaters for doing a good deed. Wish I can thank you more, but this is the least I can do.
