Ticket Deadline Tomorrow for Logan Hall of Fame Banquet

The deadline is tomorrow (Wednesday) to purchase tickets for James Logan High School’s annual Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet, to be held this Saturday (Nov. 3).

Tennis player Liz Marpuri and track and field stars Natasha Neal, Nkosinza Balumbu and Kevin Craddock are among seven individuals who will be inducted during the 6 p.m. banquet at the Fremont Marriott Silicon Valley. Archie Gilbert and Monique Ambers, who went on to play professional baseball and basketball, respectively, and longtime athletic trainer Jorge Maldonado also will be honored, along with Coach Lee Webb’s 1996 girls’ track and field team. Football star Vince Amey, who also was to be inducted, is unable to attend and his induction has been postponed until 2013, Logan Athletic Director and banquet organizer Tom Rosenthal said.

Tickets, priced at $55 for individuals or $500 for a table of 10, are can be purchased at the high school today and tomorrow from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. or by contacting Sara Muse (471-2520, ext. 60118 or smuse@nhusd.k12.ca.us).
