In Photos: New Haven Boosters Say Thanks
New Haven Boosters host Carnival of Thanks and Chili Cook Off to help raise funds for sports and other afterschool activities.
Undeterred by Sunday morning's looming Gray clouds, the New Haven Boosters Association went about the business of giving thanks and raising funds for afterschool activities.
The group held its daylong , featuring a host of games, sports challenges, food, a jump house, music and more for people to enjoy. The event was part of a pledge made by the to raise $100,000 to help pay for sports, band, colorguard, forensics and other activities next school year.
The chili cook-off was the centerpiece of Sunday's carnival. Julie Ballard took home the hardware from the cook-off, winning with her "Terrific Turkey Chili."
