Parent Project Start Date Changed, Spanish Session Added

The start date for the program was delayed to next Tuesday, March 5

The starting date has been changed to next Tuesday, March 5, for The Parent Project, a program designed to provide support, tools and strategies to help parents deal with the challenges of rearing teenagers.

The 13-week program for parents of children 10 and older, sponsored by Union City Youth & Family Services, will be Tuesday nights from 6:15 to 9:15 p.m.

Registration is $35, plus a weekly class fee.

Also, the New Haven Adult School is partnering with Youth & Family Services to offer a Spanish-language session of Parent Project, using funds from the Race to the Top grant, principal Jessica Wilder reports. The class will be offered Thursday evenings, starting March 7. To register, call 489-2185, ext.60689.
