New Haven, Conley-Caraballo Holding Food and Supply Drives for Underprivileged Families

A holiday food drive is underway at Conley-Caraballo High School while donations are being accepted for the Centralized Enrollment Center's food pantry for underprivileged New Haven families.

From the New Haven Unified School District:

Conley-Caraballo High School students and staff are holding a holiday food drive, teacher Joshua Straley reports. Donations of non-perishable food items can be made to any room at CCHS, 541 Blanche St., Hayward, and the school will forward all donations to local food banks. For more information, contact Mr. Straley (jstraley@nhusd.k12.ca.us).

The Centralized Enrollment Center, which quietly has been stocking a food pantry for underprivileged New Haven families, also is collecting donations of non-perishable items. Monetary donations also are accepted, as well as donations of school supplies (paper, pens, colored pencils, crayons, folders, backpacks, etc.) and personal items (laundry supplies, shampoo, tooth brushes, etc.). The CEC is in the annex to the Educational Services Center, 34200 Alvarado-Niles Rd., Union City. For more information, contact Blanca Snyder (bsnyder@nhusd.k12.ca.us).
