Logan Student Clayton Hartwell Named BANG’s Wrestler of the Year

The Logan junior won five tournaments this season.

After an incredible season, James Logan High School junior Clayton Hartwell has been named Bay Area New Group’s East Bay Wrestler of the Year.

The 195-pound standout athlete won five tournaments this season, including the NCS championships, and finished sixth at a recent state meet, according to BANG.

Also named one of SportStars magazine’s “Top 10 Bay Area Wrestlers to Watch,” Hartwell’s hot streak will earn him a spot on the “the wall” at Logan — an honor bestowed upon those who win a section title or finish in the top eight at a state championship.
