Concert Featuring Pianist Richard Glazier and a “Valentine’s Wind Orchestra”

James Logan High School Center for the Performing Arts will have a concert featuring acclaimed pianist Richard Glazier and a special “Valentine’s Wind Orchestra.”

Glazier, one of the foremost interpreters of the American Popular Songbook and a leading exponent of the music of George and Ira Gershwin, will open the evening with his multi-media presentation on the music and history of the Gershwins.

The concert will include George Gershwin's “Rhapsody in Blue,” conducted by JLHS music director Ramiro Barrera.

Glazier will be joined by the “Valentine’s Wind Orchestra” being put together by Barrera and including mostly Bay Area professional musicians, along with selected Logan students.
