Computer Classes at the Library

will be holding a series of eight basic computer classes in October, November and December. These classes are designed for anyone who is new or a beginner to the computer world. These classes are scheduled on 8 Sundays afternoon from 4 to 6 p.m. The 2 hours session will include one hour of lecture and one hour of hands-on lab.

The topics will include:

  •   Nov 7     Microsoft Excel #1 (Create a Table/Formulas)
  •    Nov 21   Microsoft Excel #2 (Text/Table Formatting &  Multiple Sheets)
  •      Nov 28   Internet and Emailing
  •      Dec 12   Social Networking on the Net


Prerequisite: Must understand, read and write in English. Ability to type is preferable but not necessary to participate in this class. Participants would also need to know how to use a mouse and a keyboard.

Due to the available computer stations we have in the library, space is limited. Come to the Information Desk or call 510-745-1464 Ext. 7 during the library open hours to register. Registration starts on September 20.
