Poll: "Occupy Wall Street" Rallies Hit The East Bay. What Do You Think?

Tell us what you think about this new wave of anti-Wall Street protests.

What started as a relatively small group of people protesting what they see as corporate greed and government corruption in New York, has quickly ballooned to nationwide protests in a couple weeks.

On Tuesday, about outside Chevron headquarters in San Ramon. Later today, there's expected to be a similar rally in Walnut Creek and another in San Ramon.

Tell us what you think in our poll and explain your answer in the comment section.

Yea Jack, CA is doing so great that last year alone over 70,000 Californians fled for Texas. Yes CA is a beautiful state but liberal policies have ruined it economically and businesses are continuing to flee the state and taking would be tax revenue with them.

Tim, Jack does have a point about you harping on Calif. Born and raised here, and I have lived in 4 other states, TX, VA, MS, and OH, and I could not wait to get back. Even quit my job to come back. Granted it was the weather that mostly made me come back, but since being back my income has gone up 3x, so I'm not complaining.

I agree CA is a beautiful state ir I wouldn't be living here but its no secret that the economic engine that drove CA from the 1950s on has stalled over the past decade to an average growth in gdp of about 1%. There is just too much regulation that is overly burdensome and I deal with it everyday in my job working with AQMDs, DTSC, etc. CARB regulations alone are and will continue to drive up the cost of energy and the fact is that businesses are leaving the state for more business friendly environments in other states. Texas has been proactively persuing CA businesses to relocate to their state. This is NOT the same CA you grew up in.

What these so-called occupiers are conveniently forgetting or are just to much of a sheeple to do actual research is that the 1% of the people they are protesting against pay nearly 50% of all federal income taxes. On the flip side, 50 percent of people pay no federal income tax. California is a beautiful state but it has some of the dumbest voters around. They complain about high taxes and over-regulation but then the vote for the same people year after year! If that's not craziness than I don't know what is.

Like you said, 50% pay nothing so they have no incentive to vote out these liberal politicians.
