City Giving Away Compost, Hosting Electronic Waste Drop-Off

The event takes place on April 12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Tri-CED's Recycling Center

Just in time for spring planting season, it’s Union City’s 9th Annual Compost Giveaway & electronic waste drop-off! 

Sponsored by the City of Union City, Tri-CED Community Recycling and Republic Services, this year’s event takes place on Saturday, April 12 from 9 am to 3 pm at Tri-CED’s Recycling Center 33377 Western Avenue, Union City. 

To collect your 2 bags of compost, bring your Republic Services-Tri CED newsletter/coupon, which was mailed to all Union City single family households in March/early April.

Limit of two bags per address, although you may pick-up compost on behalf of your neighbors. Just be sure to bring their coupon too! Tri-CED also accepts e-waste so bring your old TVs, computers and other electronics.
