BART service between Fremont and South Hayward stations remains
shut down due to a fatal accident investigation but a spokesman said service
should be restored by 7:30 a.m.
A Richmond-bound train hit a person on the tracks just south of
the South Hayward station at about 11:25 p.m. Tuesday, BART spokesman Jim
The person was confirmed dead at the scene. It is unknown what the

An unrelated issue has caused delays between the Hayward and Bay
Fair stations this morning. Allison said riders should use Bay Fair station
when heading out for their morning commute during the investigation.
