Wingstop Robbed at Gunpoint

Four suspects, two of them armed, robbed Wingstop and fled on foot Sunday night.

Four masked suspects, two of them armed with handguns, robbed Wingstop late Sunday night, said.

According to Sgt. Travis Souza, the suspects entered , 1648 Decoto Rd. (in the Safeway shopping center), shortly before 11:30 p.m.

The men demanded money before fleeing on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, Souza said.

There were several people inside the store at the time but, fortunately, none of them were harmed, Souza said.

The case is currently under investigation and officers are looking into whether the incident is connected to other recent robberies in Union City.Β

In the past two weeks, the 7-Eleven on Whipple Road was . Both robberies, on March 5 and 9, involved multiple armed suspects.
