Update: Identity of Bicyclist Killed in Fremont Along Alameda Creek Trail Remains a Mystery

Police are still trying to identify a man who was killed in a bicycle accident Tuesday.

Bay City News Service—Detectives are still trying to identify a bicyclist who was killed in an accident on the Alameda Creek Regional Trail in Fremont on Tuesday afternoon, East Bay Regional Park District police said.

It appears the man was riding on the paved trail under Interstate Highway 880 when his bike struck a raised curb, said Sgt. Tyrone Davis of the EBRPD police. This caused the man to fall into the rocks along the canal, he said.

Other bicyclists on the trail saw the victim, began performing CPR and called police, Davis said.
