Union City Robber Sprays Victim With Pepper Spray

The victim was sprayed after he had handed over his property.

On 04/07/14 at about 1535 hours a robbery occurred in the parking lot of the shopping complex located at 1650 Decoto Road in Union City.

The victim was walking towards a bank located in the area and was approached by the suspect who demanded money from the victim. The suspect told the victim that he had a gun and that he would shoot the victim if he did not comply. The victim, in fear for his safety, gave the suspect his property. The suspect then sprayed the victim in the face with pepper spray and fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male adult, 25 - 30 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a medium build and a goatee. The suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black jeans.

The victim was able to work with police and produce the attached sketch of the suspect.
