A 20-year-old Union City man who drove his car into a tree in Fremont over the weekend is showing signs of improvement but remains in critical condition, Fremont police said Tuesday.
The man was driving south on Ardenwood Boulevard in Fremont around 4 p.m. Sunday when he lost control of his car and slammed into a large tree near the intersection of Ardenwood Boulevard and Kaiser Drive, police said.
The driver's side door area struck the tree, causing major damage to the vehicle and major injuries for the driver, police said.
Drugs or alcohol did not appear to be a factor, however, the crash remains under investigation.
