Two Livermore schools were locked down while police hunted for suspects.

From Bay City News:

Two Livermore schools were locked down Friday afternoon after shots were fired at someone in a car downtown, police said.

The shots were fired at the car in the Bank of America parking lot at 1748 Railroad Ave. around 2:10 p.m., according to Sgt. Keith Graves.

No one was injured, but witnesses saw suspects fleeing the area.

One suspect was located at Railroad Avenue and North L Street. A
second suspect fled after an officer spotted him getting out of a vehicle at
Second and South J streets but was located under a house near Second and
McLeod streets, Graves said.

Livermore High School and St. Michael's School were locked down during the search for the suspects, police said.

Two suspects are in custody on suspicion of attempted homicide, but police have not yet released their identities.

FYI, according to a note sent to school families, a couple other schools were affected. An excerpt from the district's note: "At approximately 2:45 P.M. there was police activity in the community and as a precautionary measure the Livermore Police Department ordered a safety lockdown of the area schools, specifically Livermore High School, East Avenue Middle School, Junction Avenue K-8 School, and St. Michael's School. .....No students or staff were in harm's way at any time. All staff and students cooperated and followed all safety protocols and procedures. Thank you for your understanding."

Great job LPD, the only question I have is where was the armed guard at B of A when this was going on?

That's a really great point; why have that guy if he's not useful in situations like this!

Another pat on the back for LPD.
