Suspect Arrested in San Ramon Robbery That Killed Hayward Suspect

Krishneel Prasad, 19, was arrested near his home in Hayward at about 1:15 p.m. Friday. Two suspects are still outstanding.

A suspect has been arrested in connection with the robbery of San Ramon's jewelry store on Wednesday that left one robbery suspect dead, according to San Ramon police.

Krishneel Prasad, 19, was arrested on Stewart Drive in Hayward near his home at about 1:15 p.m. Friday.

He's been booked on charges of robbery, conspiracy and false imprisonment. Prasad is being held at the Martinez Dentention Facility on $300,000 bail, authorities said.

The slain 18-year-old has been identified as Hayward resident Kibrom Bairu, who was also as part of an internship program for troubled youths.
