Police Log: Shooting at Taco Bell; Multiple Auto Theft Suspects Arrested

Reports also include the arrest of home burglary suspects and a drunken driver crashing into parked cars.

The following is a collection of reports prepared by the Union City Police Department. The document contains only items of note that occurred Oct. 11. Reports have been lightly edited for Patch style.

This week’s report also comes with the following safety tip from Cmdr. Ben Horner:

As we begin to see the end of summer and the beginning of fall and winter please be careful during the first few rainy days as the pavements can be extremely slippery due to the mix of oil and water that accumulates on the streets during the summer months. Remember to give yourself plenty of stopping room between the car in front of you in  the event of an emergency.  We generally have an increase in fender-benders during the first few rainy days of the fall season.
