Police Log: Man Defecates on Floor During Bar Fight; 15-Year-Old Robs Victim at ATM with BB Gun

A summary of recent activity reported by UCPD.

The following is a summary of significant crime and incidents reported in Union City between April 4 and 7 as released by the Union City Police Department. Reports have been edited for Patch style. This week’s log also comes with a crime prevention tip.

Tip of the Week: "Be aware of your surroundings. We should all be aware of our surroundings and the people around us.  The blotter this week highlighted a 71-year-old victim having her purse stolen from her as she walked home.  The victim believed the suspect followed her as she walked home from the bank.  The suspect in this case probably watched the victim withdraw currency from her bank and then followed the victim as she walked to a more isolated area.  If you see someone suspicious or get a 'bad' feeling about a situation you should always take steps to avoid being victimized."
