Police Arrest Man Suspected of Domestic Violence, Resisting Arrest

Police say Mario "Dingo" Martinez was allegedly involved in an incident at an apartment complex on Decoto Road earlier in March.

The Union City Police Patrol Officers and Sergeant Pardo captured suspect Mario "Dingo" Martinez for resisting arrest, a parole violation and domestic violence on Thursday.

Martinez is the suspect of an incident on March 5 at an apartment complex on Decoto Road. He is suspected of putting his left arm around the victim’s neck and placing a knife to her throat.

The suspect walked the victim into a bathroom and told her not to scream. The suspect said nothing else to the victim and he walked out of the bathroom towards the living room.

A family member came home as the suspect was walking towards the living room. The suspect then fled out a window. The suspect was described as a black male adult, approximately 40 years old, dark complected, with a medium build.
