Man Found in Park Died of Heart Attack

Alvin Salinas, Sr., 62, was found at Casa Verde Park Thursday morning, according to the coroner's office.

A Union City man passed away due to heart complications, authorities said.

According to the Alameda County coroner’s office, 62-year-old Alvin Salinas, Sr. experienced cardiac failure and passed away within minutes. It stemmed from a heart condition that had been developing for several years, the coroner’s office said.

No foul play was involved.

Salinas was found around 10:20 a.m. in the area of the park between Santa Susana and San Rafael Way. Paramedics responded to the area and attempted to revive Salinas but were unsuccessful.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
