Man Jumps Off Union City Overpass
Union City Police Department responded to an unidentified male jumping into oncoming traffic from the I-880 N overpass in Union City around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
An unidentified white male jumped off the I-880 N overpass in Union City this Tuesday morning, according to the Union City Police Department.
He was not hit by any cars, but suffered serious injuries due to the fall and was transported to a local trauma center.
UCPD is unclear of the male's motive but assumes he was attempting to commit suicide. He has been placed on a mental health evaluation hold.
