As deputy police chief, McAllister will work closely with Chief Brian Foley to take on new projects, relieve command staff of some administrative tasks and help the department move forward with various planning initiatives. McAllister will also serve as acting police chief in Foley’s absence.

“[McAllister] possesses the skills, knowledge and personality necessary to be very successful in this new position.  He is community oriented, approachable and well respected by his colleagues. The positive relationships he has built with other agencies in our region will prove beneficial as the Union City Police Department works to meet the challenges facing law enforcement today and into the future,” Chief Brian Foley said in a statement.
