Fundraisers Scheduled For Train Accident Victim

A car wash and a baked goods sale will be held for the family of Enrique Cisneros, who was struck and killed in a train accident.

Two fund-raising events are scheduled this weekend for the family of a Conley-Caraballo High School student who was .  

, a senior was killed when he was struck by a freight train while walking on the tracks near Smith Street, apparently on his way to work at the Texas Roadhouse restaurant in Union Landing, a restaurant employee said.

The restaurant, 32115 Union Landing Blvd., is holding a car wash from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and a baked goods sale from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, with donations and proceeds to be donated to the family to help pay final expenses.

Also, at Bank of America, 31800 Alvarado Blvd., Union City. Donations can be sent by check, made out to “Enrique Cisneros, Account No. 1148018198."

The schedule for final services has been clarified.

Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Holy Angels Funeral Center at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 1051 Harder Road, Hayward.

Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 41933 Blacow Rd., Fremont.  

When school resumes Monday after the Thanksgiving break, grief counselors will be on campus at Conley-Caraballo. Staff counseling will be available to grieving students and staff members at Alvarado Middle School — where the victim’s mother is a campus monitor and where his younger brother is a student — as well as at , where the victim had many friends.
