Drunken Driver Knocks Over Whipple Road Railroad Barrier
Authorities blocked off Whipple Road near Railroad Avenue all morning as the barrier was repaired.
A drunken driver was arrested early this morning after knocking over a railroad barrier, police said.
The accident occurred at about 4:30 a.m. when the driver crashed into the railroad barrier at the tracks on Whipple Road near Railroad Avenue.
Police had to block off the road and reroute traffic while railroad officials repaired the barrier.

The road was closed for several hours this morning, police said.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol. The passenger was also too intoxicated to take care of himself and detained, police said.
