My wife, at home in Alvarado, heard the first one but not the second one. Aparently it was under the location where a large comercial radio tower was until maybe 10 years ago until a truck (PG&E?) backed into a guy wire. There still is a HAM radio repeater there and it was unaffected by today's quake.
