Update: Car Fire at Union Landing

Crews were still on scene as of 10 a.m.

A vehicle fire sent dark clouds of smoke from Union Landing this morning.

According to the Alameda County Fire Department, the fire was reported at 9:33 a.m. at 31000 Courthouse Dr. in the parking lot near Sprint and Mancini's Sleep World.

Readers reported that a van was on fire and had been burnt to its frame. 

A fire crew had extinguished the small blaze in about 44 minutes, according to the PulsePoint app.

As of 10 a.m., the parking lots of Sprint and Mancini's Sleep World were blocked off as crews remained on scene.

No injuries were reported.
