A man’s body was found Friday in a marsh along the Hayward shoreline, close to the Union City border, according to the Bay Area News Group.
The body was discovered in a ravine near the San Mateo Bridge by a biologist with the California Department of Fish and wildlife at around 12:30 p.m. She was monitoring plant life in the area when she stumbled upon the man’s shirtless body lying face down in the mud, BANG reported Monday.
It was not known how long the man had been dead. However, his body was in a state of decomposition, police told reporters.
