Body Found in Creek Two Weeks Ago Remains Unidentified

The body was in decomposition, according to coroner's office.

Authorities have yet to identify near the Union City-Fremont border two weeks ago, according to the Alameda County Coroner's Bureau.

The body was in decomposition when located, a spokesperson for the bureau said.

The agency is still conducting DNA analysis to determine the man's identity, as well as the cause of death, he said.

The body was located on June 25 at about 10 a.m. when a citizen reported seeing it from the Alameda County Regional Creek Trail near the Alvarado Boulevard exit off of Interstate 880.

The death remains under investigation.
