Records show that Abraham Ibrahim Hade, 18, of Fremont was booked on suspicion of murder in Fremont Sunday. Police confirmed Hade's arrest is connected to the stabbing death of Osana Futi.

Police announced Monday afternoon that Abraham Ibrahim Hade, 18, of Fremont has been arrested in connection to Saturday's fatal stabbing of a Newark student, according to Fremont Sgt. Jeff Campbell.

Campbell also confirmed Monday that the victim of that stabbing, who was pronounced dead at a local hospital, was Newark Memorial High School senior .

Police said that Hade was arrested on suspicion of murder and that  three minors who were also arrested will likely face charges related to being accessories to that homicide.

According to the Alameda County's online court records system, Hade was arrested in Fremont and booked into the city jail by 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon. He faces one count of murder and is scheduled to appear at the Fremont Hall of Justice for arraignment on Tuesday.

The Chronicle reported that Newark Unified School District Superintendent Dave Marken said Hade is not a student at Newark Memorial. Read the full Chronicle report here .

According to a Fremont Unified School District website , an Abraham Ibrahim Hade is listed to graduate this spring from Robertson High School, an alternative high school for Fremont Unified.

The three minors were booked into Juvenile Hall and are also awaiting arraignment.

Authorities said Futi was around 11:20 p.m. Saturday near a home near Hyde Park and Yellow Stone Park drives, near Auto Mall Parkway, in Fremont’s Blacow district.

According to news reports, he was stabbed with a sword as he was leaving a house party. Campbell could not comment on the type of weapon used but did say he does not believe it was a long type of sword, such as those used for sports like jousting.

Police didn't find any evidence of shots fired in the area where Futi was found, Campbell said.

It appears that Futi died of stab wounds, but an autopsy is being conducted Monday to confirm that, he said.

Fremont police plan to present a report to the Alameda County District Attorney's Office on Tuesday morning to seek the filing of charges against Hade and the three juveniles, Campbell said.

A for Futi are scheduled for Monday at 6 p.m.
