Get Paid to Try Out the Accident Avoiding Semi of the Future

Get paid for your opinion. Try new safety technology in a test truck. Bay Area California in August. See www.DriverClinic.org

The US DOT and leading manufactures are working to make the roads safer by evaluating a new technology for cars, trucks and semis.  Vehicle-to-vehicle communication gives drivers a heads up when they are about to encounter a situation that could result in an accident.  It works by allowing each vehicle to anonymously transmit its speed and direction to others.  Passenger vehicles with this technology have already been tested and now the focus has turned to commercial vehicles.

We are currently recruiting drivers to participate in our clinics, similar to a ride-and-drive, and give their opinions.  These clinics will be held in August in California. Eligible drivers would be required to spend approximately 3 hours on-site experiencing this state-of-the-art technology and answering a few brief questions.  Participants will be compensated for their time and given gas cards for travel.

In order to experience how this technology can reduce the number of accidents, four scenarios have been created.  Each one highlights a situation when early warning would be beneficial to a semi truck driver.  Using your opinions you can shape the technology of the future today!
