History Tour of Dry Creek Cottage and Gardens

Come enjoy over 200 native and exotic plants at the Dry Creek Cottage and Gardens.  The cottage was built in 1900 and the gardens were started at the same time and expanded over the years by the Meyer Sisters.  Besides being pretty, the site is eligible to be listed as a National Historic District.

Local Historian Timothy Swenson will give a short tour of the site, talking about the history of the Cottage and Gardens from the earliest pioneer days and up until it was donated to the East Bay Regional Parks in 1995.  Also, learn how to preserve the four-acre agricultural land fronting the cottage and gardens, which has been under threat of development, from representatives from Save Our Hills
