Chapel of the Chimes Hayward celebrates All Souls Day 2013

Chapel of the Chimes Hayward celebrates ‘All Souls Day’ 2013 with a performance by a traditional Filipino dance troupe, a Catholic service and a free Filipino lunch. Although ‘All Souls Day’ is recognized as a somber time to reflect on the deceased, in the Philippines, the festivities are joyous and honor the beginning of “Araw ng mgba Patay," or the celebration of the ‘Day of the Dead.’ At Chapel of the Chimes Hayward, more than 200 guests from all backgrounds will attend the festival to witness and participate in these time-honored rituals.
