Winning Lottery Ticket Bought in Hayward

One lucky local has yet to claim their winning ticket.

It's not Dec. 25 yet, but it probably feels a lot like Christmas for the person who bought a winning lottery ticket in Hayward Tuesday night.

A winning ticket that matched five of the six MEGA Millions draw was bought at R&H Liquor at 1201 A St. in Hayward Tuesday night, according to California Lottery officials.

The ticket, worth $195,910, is among four bought that night across California. The remaining three were purchased in El Cajon, Venice and Rancho Cordova.

No ticket matched all six numbers, so Friday night's jackpot will be worth $168 million.

Winners have six months to claim the jackpot before the ticket expires.

The winner can claim the winnings by dropping by the California Lottery's district office in Hayward or mailing the ticket to lottery headquarters in Sacramento.
