After failing to pass in May, the New Haven Unified School District Board of Education announced it will be placing another parcel tax measure on a special election mail-in ballot next May. The board voted unanimously to try again, noting it would be forced to make additional cuts next year if more funds are not generated. .

We profiled local artist Lilia Reynoso, who won an art contest for a Bay Area health advocacy group. The 25-year-old's winning piece is currently on display in select BART trains. Reynoso herself has only been making art for three years but has built an impressive resume with a list of accolades and work in the community. .
