Tuesday, Sept. 6

Wednesday, Sept. 7

Union City Patch was the first to report on a breakthrough development in the case of missing nursing student Michelle Le — . Giselle Esteban, 27, was arrested on suspicion of murder at 9:50 a.m. at her home in the Monte Vista condominiums in Union City. Patch was first on the scene and initially reported on her home being searched and her vehicle being taken by police until the arrest was officially confirmed later in the morning.

We also where police announced the key pieces of evidence that led to her arrest for the murder of Le, who went missing more than three months ago.

Meanwhile, Le's body has yet to be found. Her family issued a statement saying that .

Thursday, Sept. 8

The arraignment for alleged Michelle Le murder suspect Giselle Esteban was . It was revealed the following day that it was due to a routine checkup, though it was announced that Esteban is several months pregnant. As many wait for the case to unravel, some speculated on the difficulty of proving beyond a reasonable doubt that Esteban is guilty. "We wouldn't have filed the charges if we didn't think there was evidence," said Deputy District Attorney Mike Nieto.

Friday, Sept. 9

Fremont police announced that former Cal golfer , 21, was found dead Monday night in a parking lot behind the former Barnes and Noble in Fremont. Though the cause of death has not yet been determined, police say Kwon's death is "suspicious."

Giselle Esteban, the alleged suspect in the murder of missing nursing student Michelle Le, . She will be assigned a public defender and is scheduled to enter a plea at 9 a.m. on Monday.
