Seniors Invited to Apply for Free Clipper Card

Senior residents in Union City, Fremont and Newark can apply for the Clipper Card

Access to a free Senior Clipper card has become easier for local seniors 65 years old and older.

The City of Fremont's Human Services Department is now accepting Senior Clipper Card applications and can be issued between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on weekdays at Fremont City Hall, 3300 Capitol Ave., Building B, according to Kelly Hess, 

To apply for one, proof of age is needed by one of the following documents:

  • Driver's license
  • State ID
  • Passport
  • Birth Certificate
  • Alien Registration/Permanent Resident Card
  • Matricula Consular/Consular ID Card
  • SF City ID
  • Military ID Card
  • Medical Benefit Card with Date of Birth
