James Logan became one of three schools in the nation to premiere from world-renowned Japanese company TAMA. The first concert with the new instruments will be held next month.

Friday, Jan. 28

Anthony Pabros, the Union City business owner arrested in a Jan. 15 bank robbery, to charges of robbery and assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer. His attorney, Douglas Rappaport, said that Pabros was coerced into driving the second suspect, Francis Buhay, to the bank. In a short chase after the robbery, Buhay shot a police officer before fleeing into a backyard where he was found dead of a possible suicide.

Saturday, Jan. 29

Logan’s boys of Fremont by a 20-point lead, finishing with a score of 59 to 39. Guard Darrion Murphy dominated the game by nailing 10 3-pointers.
