Gas Guide: Average Price for Regular Unleaded in Union City is $4.07

The sun's out, and there's no sense in staying indoors. But before you decide to travel too far, make sure none of your friends pull the old I-forgot-my-wallet-at-home trick. You're going to want everyone to pony up.

As of March 31, the average price for a gallon of gas in Union City is $4.07, based on a Patch survey of 10 local gas stations. Prices ranged from, well, expensive to more expensive, with the lowest at $4.03 and topping out at $4.13. (See the full list in the table below.)

It's the same song everywhere in California, as the state averages $4.04 a gallon, almost 40 cents above the national average, according to AAA's Daily Fuel Gauge Report.

However, according to GasBuddy.com, a website that lists user-submitted prices, gas is cheaper next door. Users reported seeing prices as low as $3.88 in Hayward and $3.93 in Fremont, both at Arco stations.
