The winning ticket, drawn Friday night, has a jackpot of $52 million, an estimated cash value of $40.5 million.

By Bay City News Service

A Fremont convenient store just made a hopeful lottery player a whole lot richer, according to the California Lottery.

Kwik Stop at 3157 Walnut Ave. sold the winning MEGA Millions ticket, matching all six numbers -- 2, 3, 4, 8, 43 -- and the Mega number 26, California Lottery officials said.

The winning ticket, drawn Friday night, has a jackpot of $52 million, an estimated cash value of $40.5 million.

The winner has one year to claim the jackpot. California Lottery reminds players to sign the back of a winning ticket and keep it in a safe place, and contact officials as soon as possible.

When the next MEGA Millions is drawn on Tuesday, the jackpot will be $12 million.
