Friday, April 15

Eugene Ramos, the man charged with sexually assaulting a 2-year-old inside of a Dollar Tree store in December, was in order to restore his competency so he can stand trial. The action was a result of a mental evaluation by a court-appointed doctor who recommended Ramos receive anti-psychotic drugs. This is the second time Ramos has been found incompetent to stand trial. He was previously committed to a mental hospital in 2003 in a similar sexual assault case of a 7-year-old.

Police asked for help Friday in locating a who left home Wednesday. As of Saturday night, the boy, 14-year-old Michael Santos, had not returned home. However, classmates and friends have reported that Santos ran away from home and may be with friends.
