Power is expected to be restored by 4 p.m.

About 100 PG&E customers in Union City are without power this morning due to planned maintenance work, a utility spokeswoman said.

The outage is expected to last until about 4 p.m., said spokeswoman Fiona Chan. Affected customers were notified about the outage in advance by mail, she said.

The maintenance work affects customers in the area of Dyer Street from Smith Street to Whipple Road and Whipple Road east of I-880 to Medallion Drive, according to Chan.
