YMCA of the East Bay Encourages Kids to Play and Learn at Healthy Kids Day®, April 26

Activities Announced for Fremont/Newark

On April 26, the YMCA of the East Bay will celebrate Healthy Kids Day® with free community events for kids and families in Fremont.  More than 1,500 Ys across the country are taking part in the celebration, meant to kick-start physical activity and learning throughout the summer – a critical out-of-school time for kids.

This year the Fremont/Newark Y, located at 41811 Blacow Rd., will hold a Healthy Kids Day “Put Play in your Day” carnival beginning at 10:00 am. Several different vendors will be in attendance to offer information on healthy eating for kids K-12 and promoting the Fremont Healthy Start initiative.  Community partners for the carnival include Tri-City HealthWhole FoodsSproutsTargetWal-MartSafeway, StarbucksChipotle and more.
