U.S. Treasurer to Address Bay Area Manufacturing Executives in Union City

The East Bay Economic Development Agency and East Bay Manufacturing Group will host the private event on Tuesday at FineLite.

UNION CITY, Calif.—(BUSINESS WIRE)— East Bay Economic Development Alliance (EDA) and East Bay Manufacturing Group (EBMG) are hosting Treasurer of the United States Rosie Rios for a discussion with San Francisco Bay Area manufacturing CEOs, on the state of the manufacturing industry. The event will take place on March 20, 2012 from 4-7 PM at in Union City, California.

At the roundtable discussion, Treasurer Rios will engage with attendees on topics including: how the Administration has put an emphasis on manufacturing, experiences manufacturers have had working in local Bay Area cities, and how manufacturers have been bringing back jobs into the Bay Area and near-sourcing materials. Treasurer Rios will share how these related topics have intersected at the federal level, with her experience overseeing two federal manufacturing organizations.
