Time To Look For A Seasonal Job In Retail

Tis the season to apply for temporary retail jobs. With strong Christmas sales projected merchants are expected to do more hiring to meet holiday demand.

 

Job hunting? Willing to consider season work in retail?

Start looking. Retailers and other employers (think UPS) that depend on Christmas and year-end sales are in hiring mode.

Work is never easy to find but this year the odds are better.

The National Retail Federation predict a solid increase in holiday sales, and expects retailers "to hire between 585,000 and 625,000 seasonal workers this holiday season, which is comparable to the 607,500 seasonal employees they hired last year."

Some business reports expect bullish hiring from six retailers. They are:

  1. GameStop
  2. Toys'R'Us
  3. Walmart
  4. Kohl's
  5. Macy's
  6. Target
