After a year being shut down, the Taco Bell on the corner of Alvarado-Niles and Decoto roads has been reborn.

The fast food restaurant reopened Friday.

It sat untouched and fenced up for months before work began earlier this year. Construction crews quickly rebuilt the restaurant, stripping it down and reconstructing it with new paint, new signs, handicap parking access, bike parking and upgraded lighting.

The Taco Bell now sports a new, modern and inviting look that almost makes up for the fact that there still isn't a drive-thru.
