Tim should really familiarize himself with "Preparation H" as it will give him temporary relief after sticking his opinions where the sun don't shine ! Gee,I wonder how many sponsors that will cost me ? LMFAO
Tim March 18, 2012 at 08:59 pm
That's pretty funny but you might want to save some for yourself, Ms. McVeigh, and the rest of the NHTA and YES campaign as they'll need it on the evening of June 5 when they get their butts kicked on election night.... On second thought, I hope they are popping champagne bottles again like they did last May for Measure B... worked out well for them then, didn't it?
Brash Brazen March 18, 2012 at 10:02 pm
Please support & vote for "Measure H" if for no other reason than to make Tim angry & me happy !! Tim has a grudge against the public school teachers & their union he insults because it's quite obvious his public school education was deficient for reasons known only to him !!
Tim March 18, 2012 at 11:27 pm
Yes, what a great reason to vote for a new, regressive flat tax that unfairly targets lower income homeowners struggling to pay their bills and put gas in their cars. Every Patch reader clearly is more concerned about making anonymous poster "Brash Brazen" happy than they are about making ends meet in the Obama recession.
Tim March 18, 2012 at 11:30 pm
We all want to support our schools and the kids but vote with your brain and not your heart. Please vote NO and demand accountability from Superintendent McVeigh, her bloated salary and the rest of the district administration.
TTFN March 19, 2012 at 01:41 am
Funny. when you have no facts to back up your side you resort to insults. I assume you're one of the defective teachers.
Summer Hemphill March 19, 2012 at 02:35 am
TTFN ? Ta,Ta for now ?!? Sounds kind of elitist to me !!!
Summer Hemphill March 19, 2012 at 02:38 am
Tim's not an "anonymous poster" he just has difficulty spelling his last name !
Johnny C. March 19, 2012 at 03:57 pm
I still want to support the Food Trucks !!!! , I love the diversity of Street Food being offered to us here in Union City at this time. I'm not always able to travel to the big urban spots to try the latest/greatest out.
TTFN March 19, 2012 at 04:31 pm
Then support them when they are down at Walmart. Ignore them at Logan.
J.T March 19, 2012 at 06:13 pm
Johnny, Go eat at them! For some reason, TTFN and Tim has launched a full out attack. In one breath, they say it won't pass and the other breath say Don't support it because it may pass. They are extremely confused and have offered no objective opinion. If you want to try the trucks feel free, and I hope they are there with protest signs b/c this internet bulling is really sad!!!
Tim March 19, 2012 at 06:38 pm
@JT... actually we (and others) have offered numerous reasons why one should vote NO on this tax measure. Just because you don't agree doesn't mean we don't have an objective opinion. You're a typical liberal drone that would rather attack an alternative view, rather than have a civil and substantive debate on the issue. But , since you want to be on the attack, I'll submit that if you got out of your mom's basement and had to pay a property tax bill of your own, you might be sining a different tune.... or maybe you do, but you're a union thug (representative) for a public sector union. Either way, I think I'm in the ballpark.
The measure won't pass so long as the word gets out about the truth behind it. They tried really hard to sneak it through last May in a bogus mail in "election". I almost overlooked it myself but a friend brought it to my attention. Even in a stealth "election" it went down in flames... this time, it won't be a surprise... it will be right on the same ballot as the GOP presidential primary. In one trip I'll be able to vote for a GOP nominee to defeat Obama AND vote NO on "Preparation H".
Johnny C. March 19, 2012 at 06:41 pm
J.T,
Believe me I will , I'am not going to let them spoil an evening out with the family ! . Even if TTFN & Tim were protesting outside it won't stop me ! , Be there tomorrow evening ;-)
J.T March 19, 2012 at 06:43 pm
Tim, You offer such an objective response. ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.... Especially this part, " But , since you want to be on the attack, I'll submit that if you got out of your mom's basement and had to pay a property tax bill of your own, you might be sining a different tune.... or maybe you do, but you're a union thug (representative) for a public sector union. Either way, I think I'm in the ballpark". ha ha ha haha.
I will be at the trucks tomorrow and you should put your objections into practice and PROTEST your objective opinion!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!
Tim March 19, 2012 at 06:56 pm
Again, you've yet to offer any substantive argument to vote YES.... Again, Ill summarize, the tax is a REGRESSIVE Flat Tax that unfairly targets lower income homeowners struggling in this bad economy to pay their bills and put gas in their cars. Many are behind and are fighting against foreclosure. This is exactly the kind of Tax that would make Republicans proud and one Democrats would be against. Here's what one San Leandro resident that has the right idea on taxes to close loopholes in Prop 13 and get the rich to pay their fair share... http://sanleandro.patch.com/blog_posts/san-leandro-hunger-strikers-were-fasting-for-us
Why don't you stop trying to punish working class citizens and supporting rich corporations that try to avoid paying their fair share? What are you anyway? you sound like a Republican! Care to respond or do you prefer to stay on the attack? You want me to come protest there, why? You want to "beat me up"? Is that your solution to try to quash dissenting opinions?
Tim March 19, 2012 at 07:04 pm
I'm clearly not a Democrat, but I have Democratic friends that are against this measure for EXACTLY the reason I stated above. My point is that there is not unified Democratic support for this measure and the entire proposal is nothing more than a band aid on a bullet wound while screwing lower income, struggling homeowners.
Summer Hemphill March 20, 2012 at 04:15 am
The schools need the money,Tim needs his head examined & we all lived happier ever after, end of story !! Of course if Tim were telling the story it would start out "Once upon a time and a half " & would involve breaking up a union picket line !!
Tim March 20, 2012 at 04:29 am
"The schools need the money..." Great then follow Obama's lead and go after the rich and make them pay their fair share.... yes the RICH like the school district administrators that have bloated six figure plus salaries. Leave the rest of us working folk the hell alone!
Summer Hemphill March 20, 2012 at 04:42 am
Tim,if you'd gotten an education & held a position in administration then even you might deserve a six figure salary. I guess that might seem like a lot of money when your looking under the couch cushions trying to find enough change for the laundromat ! "If you can count your money, you don't have any " - Don "Only in America" King
Tim March 20, 2012 at 11:11 am
Summer, not that it's any of your business but I have an education. I have a Masters degree, a job in the private sector, and a very modest home. I'm doing alright considering how many are suffering. Unlike you, I'm not willing to throw my neighbors under the bus and keep throwing more money at a broken school district with bloated admin salaries. I don't have a problem with these people earning high six figure salaries... the problem is they are earning in on the backs of the taxpayers and it's unreasonable to be paying a "spokesman" a $150K a year salary (Rick LaPlante). I bet that position requires a Masters degree in a highly specialized field. Give me a break.
I'm guessing you don't even live in Union City since I've looked at your profile and you troll, er... comment on just about every Bay Area Patch site and take ultra-liberal positions on everything from unions to weed. So, you won't even have a vote thankfully! Here's an idea, lets legalize your weed and tax it at 500%.... that would solve the schools problems!
Big daddy March 20, 2012 at 03:27 pm
Here's a suggestion for some of you. If you don't like the trucks don't eat there, if you don't like the tax vote no. Stop acting all high and mighty thinking your better than others. If your so concerned about salaries go to the next school board and voice your concern. Don't be a coward and do it only in print. Union city residents need to find away to support our kids. Activities are being eliminated and most of you don't even mention that.
Summer Hemphill March 20, 2012 at 04:27 pm
I see, your well off & your constant opposition to taxes & unions is out of concern for your neighbors ! Yeah & Fox News is "fair & balanced ?!? After Maggie Kelly caught you lying about George Soros"s connection to NO LABELS a "bogus" 501(c)4 organization in the Milpitas Patch you have lost what little credibility you had ! I always suspected that you made up most of your facts, but now we have your own admission that you lied to Patch readers ! Time to pick out a new handle pardner, you've been lamped !!!
Tim March 20, 2012 at 04:32 pm
@ Big Daddy... I have voiced my concerns to the school board members. They don't care about the disparity between the wages of administrators vs the burden on the taxpayers and the voters are apparently too damn liberal to change anything so fortunately for us, the 2/3 vote required for a parcel tax gives us at least a fighting chance so make a stand. As for "activities" being cut, that's unfortunate but the taxpayer has an obligation to fund education, not activities. So, I would suggest that you pay for your own kids activities and "fund your own fun" so to speak.
Johnny C. March 20, 2012 at 04:34 pm
Thank You Big Daddy !
Tim March 20, 2012 at 04:40 pm
@ Summer... it was Mtn View Patch, not Milpitas. I comment there because I work there... I don't troll every Patch site in the Bay Area like you do. And. I didn't lie on "No Labels". They are a phony 501(C)4 and they do not disclose their list of donors and likely bcause like every other liberal cause it's funded by Soros. There's no evidence to the contrary becuause they won't release their list of donors. What's "fair and balanced" about that? But way to change the subject when you 've lost the debate. Typical liberal tactics.
Summer Hemphill March 20, 2012 at 05:21 pm
The comments on President Obama's arrival in the South Bay we're referring to to was a regional story & you're admission that your facts were nothing more than speculation appeared in every Patch in the South Bay ! I say you're a liar fabricating facts to validate your hateful right-wing rhetoric, but let's let the patch readers take a look at your comments & decide for themselves ! Can't be more "fair & balanced" than that !!
Tim March 20, 2012 at 10:06 pm
Unfortunately, the liars are "No Labels" because they aren't being honest about who their donors are... if left wing hacks like Soros and other are not on the donor list then what are they afraid of? I know you like to follow blindly like a sheep, but this is not an unreasonable question to ask. RELEASE THE DONOR LIST or DON"T EXPECT TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY AS "NON-PARTISAN"!!!
Summer Hemphill March 20, 2012 at 11:56 pm
Apparently while you disparage George Soros for being an avid supporter of a progressive agenda, you don't seem to have a problem with those Koch sucking brothers bankrolling the conservative agenda to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars !! Just another typical right-wing Republican,a liar & a hypocrite !! is this what they teach you at the John Birch Society or do you receive telepathic messages from Sean Hannity ?!?
Tim March 21, 2012 at 12:50 am
@ Summer... Hey at least we know who the donors are to conservatives groups like Americans For Prosperity..... you still haven't explained why it's ok for No Labels to keep the donors list secret.... I guess it's hard for you to focus when your baked out of your mind 24/7.
Johnny C. March 21, 2012 at 01:08 am
